How long does it take to get an item ?

Wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses from better designers typically are made to order and take time for delivery. This is quite different in todays "off the rack" world of department stores, outlet shops and discount bridal warehouses. So planning ahead is a must if you want a designer wedding dress and not some factory dress that you have seen on a hundred brides. We very frequently get asked the question, "How long can I wait to order my wedding gown or bridesmaid dress", and we suggest, "as soon as possible". The reason for this answer is that most of our wedding gowns and all of our bridesmaid dresses are made to order in your size, color option and any other special request like extra length or larger sizes. We also suggest, "as soon as possible" to help eliminate delays outside of our control, like natural disasters, slow shipping, strikes for the manufactures or even manufacturer error. With enough time, many errors from the manufacturer or damage during shipping can be resolved with a new dress. We also suggest, "as soon as possible" to help save you money. Many times shopping too late will put your order in a RUSH situation just to get the dress to you on time. When this happens, you have to pay a fee for faster manufacturing. Please note that this is not a fee we like, because it is imposed by the manufacturer and we just pass it on to you. We do not make a profit from RUSH fee's and do everything possible to get your order processed without them. Finally, we suggest, "as soon as possible" because dresses do get discontinued by designers and we are notified the day it gets pulled. We would hate to see you miss out on the dress of your dreams or not be able to participate in your friends wedding because you waited too long.

We ask for the requested date and/or event date at the time of order to check the availability of your dress. We will actually hold or cancel your order and contact you by email or phone if the timeframe looks as if you will need RUSH or we would not be able to get your requested item to you on time. At the time that we contact you, you will be notified of a RUSH fee if needed and any other changes that need to be made to correct the order. You have at this time the ability to continue with the order, reorder or cancel if you are unhappy with choices. Please see our Return Policy for more information on cancellations.

Wedding dresses typically take 16 to 18 weeks for delivery once the order is placed with us. The RUSH delivery timeframe can shorten this time to only 12 to 14 weeks, depending upon the manufacturer. Please note that there is a fee for RUSH delivery. RUSH fees are typically $150. RUSH fees are shown at the time of order, but are not applied to the total. Many times, RUSH fees are not needed to get a gown to you in time, so we do not want to overcharge you. Some of our wedding gowns are in stock with the manufacturer and can be delivered to you in as little as 2 weeks and RUSH may not be needed. Sample wedding dresses can be had in as little as two weeks and there is no RUSH fee.

We will get the dress to you by the requested date or cancel your order if this is not possible, but this does not guarantee that your dress will get to you in time for alterations if needed. Alterations are your responsibility and you should allow yourself time for them. If you select a time that is not possible by us, we will cancel your order within 48 hours of placement and return any charges to you.

Bridesmaid dresses typically take 12 to 14 weeks for delivery once the order is placed with us. The RUSH delivery timeframe can shorten this time to only 6 -10 weeks, depending upon the manufacturer. Please note that there is a fee for RUSH delivery. RUSH fees can range from $30 to $40 per dress by the manufacturer. RUSH fees are shown at the time of order, but are not applied to the total. Many times, RUSH fees are not needed to get a gown to you in time, so we do not want to overcharge you. There are no bridesmaid dresses in stock with the manufacturers or us. We have discontinued sample bridesmaid dresses that can be had in under a week.

Choices of  "Ground Shipment", "3 Day Shipment", "2nd Day Shipment" and "Overnight" only applies when the wedding dress, bridesmaid dress, or other item is in our warehouse and ready to ship to you. Shipping methods and speeds have nothing to do with RUSH. Increasing the shipping at the time of order does not change the timeframe of the manufacturer to make your wedding dress, bridesmaid dress or other specialty item.
