1. The bust measurement is taken at the fullest area of the bust. You must be wearing a bra during this measurement.
2. The waist measurement is taken at the smallest part of the torso, ABOVE your bellybutton. The popularity of low rise jeans has spawned an incorrect idea of where your waist really is.
3. The hip measurement is taken at the widest part of your Gluteus Maximus. You must stand with your feet together while taking this measurement.

All measurements are in inches. | To get the proper length for your gown or dress, have a professional, bridal store, dry cleaner, alterations specialist, or tailor help you take accurate body measurements. You will need measure the point from the hollow of your neck to the hem length you desire. Do this with the shoes you will be wearing with your gown or dress for best results. A full length gown or dress should measure one inch off the floor in the front. A tea length dress is a short dress that fits just below the knee.
